Our Story

Hi! We’re Annika and Danny—first-generation farmers from Berlin and Toronto, now growing vibrant, healthy food on our leased farm in Oyama, BC. What began as orchard work quickly became our passion, and in 2020, we established Eat Me Garden with the goal of producing food that’s good for people, the planet, and our community.

We now grow 69 different varieties of fruit in our orchard, alongside delicious vegetables and beautiful seasonal flowers. Our focus is on quality—everything is hand-picked at optimal ripeness for maximum flavour and freshness. We grow stone fruit, pome fruit, and nutrient-rich produce, all rooted in our commitment to sustainability, soil health, and seasonal eating.

Farming wasn’t passed down to us—it’s a path we chose out of love for the land and a deep respect for the process. Annika holds a Bachelor of Science in Organic Farming and Marketing from the University for Sustainable Development in Eberswalde, and we spend our off-seasons learning from fruit growers around the world to keep improving what we do here at home.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be farming in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, where the fertile soils, warm days, and cool nights help bring out the best in every crop. From June through mid-November, we harvest and sell everything fresh and in season—never before its time.

Eat Me Garden is our way of connecting—through food, through farming, and through the joy of growing something meaningful. Thanks for being part of it.

Our Growing Practices

At Eat Me Garden, we are committed to growing delicious, nutrient-rich food while caring for the land that sustains us. Our market garden is managed organically—free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers—and rooted in regenerative practices like composting, crop rotation, mulching, and drip irrigation. We prioritize soil health, knowing it leads to more flavourful, resilient crops.

Across our orchard, we use integrated pest management to monitor, anticipate, and minimize pest pressure, relying on organic inputs whenever possible. Sustainability guides our choices, from using micro sprinklers for water conservation to reusing packaging and choosing paper over plastic. Our 3-acre certified organic plum orchard reflects our ongoing commitment to ecological farming and growing food that nourishes both people and the planet.
